The University of Antwerp (UAntwerpen) is a young, dynamic and forward-thinking university. Established in in 2003, UAntwerpen scores extraordinarily well in Young University Rankings (Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2023—Rank 7; QS 50 under 50 2021—Rank 20). UAntwerp is a founding member of the Young Universities for the Future of Europe (YUFE) alliance and has an excellent track record as to the participation in EU framework research and innovation programmes. The research group Politics & Public Governance (PPG) is part of the Department of Political Science (Faculty of Social Sciences, UAntwerpen). PPG studies how politics and public governance respond to (a) the increasing diversity of citizens and society and (b) the multi-level and multi-actor nature of policymaking and policy implementation. PPG is also part of the GOVTRUST Centre of Excellence, an interdisciplinary consortium at UAntwerpen that aims to provide a substantial contribution to the knowledge on the dynamics, causes and effects of (dis)trust between actors in multi-level regulatory governance.
Role in the project
The University of Antwerp will develop and implement an original survey assessing managers’ perceptions, trust and propensity to comply with organisational Integrity Management Systems. This will include survey experiments to extend the understanding of the impact of the integrity systems on the perceptions, trust and behaviour of top and middle managers in different contexts such as banking, competition agencies and energy providers.
